Rehab, Rescue Resource, Day Care Grooming

The Australian Animal Resource Centre (AARC)

Once upon a time, just last century in fact, with thanks to social media, Australia became aware of what really went on behind the closed doors of pounds and shelters around the world… and we were shocked and appalled.

Fast forward to 2018 and there is an entire, continually growing community of like minded people who are now well aware of terms such as “kill rates”, “duty of care” and “puppy farms”. This massive community includes mums and dads, brothers and sisters, grandparents, school kids, the corporate sector, councils, pounds, shelters and rescue organisations. Consequently we are now living in the most exciting time in the history of the world for “Man and his dog”.

The ARCC is, simply put, a coordination service. We connect the authorised (and AARC approved) pounds, shelters and rescue centres around the country for seamless transfer of orphan dogs who, for one reason or the other haven’t been adopted within their allocated number of days served behind bars. This means the dog has another chance at adoption, which can only be a good thing, right?

We can also direct those looking to adopt a rescue dog to which pound, shelter or rescue org might have the perfect dog for them – as our records are continually being updated from the coal face itself. We can also assist you in assisting the pounds and rescue orgs themselves by facilitating tax deductible donations.

The AARC is here to help those who want to keep their dog within their home but due to unexpected financial circumstances, think they can’t afford to. This might be due to an “surprise” surgery or illness, or it might be more personal reasons within the family unit. What ever the reason, the ARCC will happily connect you to the appropriate folk who will quote you wholesale pricing for their service, normally reserved for those within the domestic animal welfare industry. This can mean discounted surgeries, training, products, in fact almost anything “dog” will become available to you for up to 50% less than the retail cost you are currently paying.

And for your peace of mind, not just anyone receives the tick of approval from the AARC. In fact all of our suppliers are goods, services and people that we ourselves would and in many cases do use for our own furkids. Those recommended by the ARCC genuinely care about “a dogs life” as much as we do here at the AARC.

There is no cost for the services provided by the ARCC to the public of Australia nor to our welfare partners. We provide this because we believe this to be in the best interest of the dawgs of Australia.
